Jalur Tamako (多摩湖線, Tamako-sen) adalah jalur kereta api swasta satu jalur sepanjang 9,2 kilometer (5,7 mi) yang dioperasikan oleh Kereta Api Seibu

Jalur ini merupakan bagian dari kelompok jalur kereta api Seibu Shinjuku yang menghubungkan daerah pinggiran barat Tokyo ke jalur utama Seibu dan JR East yang membentang ke pusat Tokyo. Jalur ini dinamai berdasarkan Danau Tama (多摩湖, Tamako), sebuah waduk besar yang memasok air ke Tokyo, yang terletak dekat dengan terminus jalur di Tamako. Sejak Juli 2008, pengumuman yang direkam di kereta telah disediakan dalam bahasa Inggris selain bahasa Jepang dan, sebagai bagian dari program perbaikan berkelanjutan Seibu Railway, rambu dan peta di stasiun juga dwibahasa.

Operasional

Semua layanan di jalur ini beroperasi sebagai layanan semua stasiun "Lokal" (普通列車, futsū-ressha), terutama untuk seluruh panjang jalur antara stasiun Tamako dan Kokubunji, dengan layanan lain berakhir mulai dari stasiun tengah, Hagiyama.^[1] Jalur ini berupa jalur tunggal kecuali di stasiun Hitotsubashi-Gakuen dan Hagiyama, di mana layanan yang beroperasi secara rutin saling berpapasan.

Koneksi

Jalur ini menghubungkan jalur Seibu pinggiran kota dengan Jalur JR Chūō di Kokubunji. Di Hagiyama, terdapat transfer ke Jalur Seibu Haijima. Jalur Seibu Yamaguchi, juga dikenal sebagai Leo Liner, menghubungkan Stasiun Tamako dengan Seibu-en dan Seibu Dome, markas tim bisbol Saitama Seibu Lions. Stasiun Ōmekaidō terdaftar sebagai penghubung ke layanan di Jalur JR Musashino di Stasiun Shin-Kodaira, yang berjarak tidak jauh.

Sejarah

Kereta Api Tamako membuka jalur Kokubunji ke Hagiyama pada tahun 1928, dan memperpanjangnya hingga Musashi-Yamato pada tahun 1930, sekaligus melakukan elektrifikasi seluruh jalur dengan tegangan 600 V DC.^{[butuh rujukan]} Perusahaan ini kemudian diintegrasikan ke dalam sistem Kereta Api Seibu pada tanggal 12 Maret 1940.^[4] Pada tahun 1961, jalur tersebut diperpanjang hingga Seibu-yūenchi (sekarang Tamako), dan tegangan ditingkatkan menjadi 1.500 V DC pada saat yang sama.^{[butuh rujukan]}

Seri 9000 mulai beroperasi di Jalur Tamako sejak 1 Oktober 2020.^[5]
