Lyman James Briggs (7 Mei 1874 – 25 Maret 1963) adalah seorang insinyur, fisikawan dan administrator Amerika Serikat. Ia adalah direktur ketiga National Bureau of Standards (NBS) pada masa Depresi Besar dan ketua Uranium Committee[1] sebelum Amerika Serikat memasuki Perang Dunia Kedua. Lyman Briggs College di Michigan State University diambil dari namanya.[2]
