Yahudi-Mesir

Yahudi Mesir adalah komunitas orang Yahudi di Mesir yang mulai bermukim sejak awal abad ke-20 M. Jumlah orang Yahudi di Mesir mengalami penurunan dari 70–80 ribu jiwa pada tahun 1922 menjadi sekitar 2 ribu jiwa pada tahun 2007.

Permukiman

Pada tahun 1922, orang Yahudi di Mesir berjumlah antara 75.000 hingga 80.000 jiwa.^[1] Pada periode 1940-an, penduduk Yahudi-Mesir dari kalangan elite di Mesir bermukim di Distrik Kota Taman, Kairo. Keluarga Yahudi-Mesir yang menghuninya antara lain keluarga Cicurel dan Qattawi. Kedua keluarga tersebut memiliki peran penting dalam ekonomi Mesir.^[2] Pada tahun 2007, jumlah Yahudi Mesir sekitar 2.000 jiwa.^[3]
