Samuel Wendell Williston (10 Juli 1852 – 30 Agustus 1918) adalah seorang pengajar, entomolog dan paleontolog Amerika Serikat yang menjadi orang pertama yang mencetuskan bahwa burung mengembangkan cara terbang secara kursorial (dengan berlari), ketimbang secara arboreal (dengan lompat dari pohon ke pohon).
