Musik folk psikedelik (kadang-kadang disebut acid folk atau freak folk)^[1] adalah bentuk psikedelia yang didefinisikan secara longgar yang berasal dari tahun 1960-an. Genre ini mempertahankan instrumentasi akustik yang sebagian besar digunakan dalam musik folk, tetapi menambahkan elemen musik yang umum dalam musik psikedelik.

Musik folk psikedelik umumnya mempertahankan instrumen akustik dan seringkali menggabungkannya dengan instrumen lain. Nyanyian berulang, musik awal, serta pengaruh musik folk non-barat sering ditemukan dalam musik folk psikedelik. Serupa dengan versi rock-nya, folk psikedelik sering dikenali dengan suaranya yang unik, membius pendengar, dan atmosferik yang sering kali mengandalkan improvisasi musikal dan terdapat pula pengaruh Asia.^[2]
