Bagaimana jika artikel ini dipecah ke dalam beberapa bagian?? Contoh: Alamat IPv4, dan alamat IPv6??? Soalnya terlalu panjang dan ngebingungin. Halaman untuk artikel ini cukup digunakan sebagai definisi alamat IP saja secara global, dan merujuk kepada halaman-halaman alamat IPv4 dan alamat IPv6.

usul utk menjelaskan dahulu bahwa IP terkait dengan OSI Layer, sehingga dapat dijelaskan posisi IP ada di mana dan kenapa IP perlu. Barulah setelah itu didetailkan spek teknisnya spt bilangan biner, pembagian kelas, net id dan host id, dll..
