Nepenthes veitchii adalah tanaman varietas dataran tinggi. Tapi dapat juga hidup di dataran rendah tergantung pada tanaman jenis tanaman. Tanaman ini dikenal karena peristomanya yang sangat menyala dan dapat berwarna emas atau bergaris merah.^[4]
