Mathew Makil (27 Maret 1851 – 26 Januari 1914) adalah Vikaris Apostolik kedua dan Vikaris Apostolik pribumi pertama dari Vikariat Changanacherry, yang sekarang menjadi Eparki Agung Changanacherry. Mathew Makil juga menjadi Vikaris Apostolik pertama dari Vikariat Kottayam, yang kini menjadi Eparki Agung Kottayam. Pada 1896, ia menjadi Vikaris Apostolik Vikariat Changanacherry. Pada 1911, kala Vikariat Apostolik Kottayam yang baru ditujukan khusus untuk umat Katolik Knanaya, Mathew Makil dipindahkan ke Kottayam sebagai Vikaris Apostolik pertamanya. Ia meninggal dunia di Kottayam pada 26 Januari 1914, dan diangkat menjadi Pelayan Tuhan pada 26 Januari 2009 oleh Paus Benediktus XVI, dan Venerabilis pada 22 Mei 2025 dengan kesepakatan Paus Leo XIV.^[1]
