Keluarga perbankan Rothschild di Prancis adalah sebuah dinasti perbankan Prancis yang didirikan pada tahun 1812 di Paris oleh James Mayer de Rothschild (1792–1868). James dikirim kesana dari rumahnya di Frankfurt, Jerman, oleh ayahnya, Mayer Amschel Rothschild (1744–1812). Ingin putra-putranya meneruskan usaha keluarga mereka dan meluaskannya di seluruh Eropa, Mayer Amschel Rothschild mempertahankan putra sulungnya agar tetap di Frankfurt, sementara empat putranya yang lain dikirim ke kota-kota Eropa berbeda untuk mendirikan sebuah lembaga keuangan untuk menginvestasikan bisnis dan menyediakan jasa perbankan.
