Joshua Atwill Pais (lahir 21 Juni 1958) adalah seorang aktor dan pelatih akting asal Amerika Serikat. Ia telah tampil dalam film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990), Music of the Heart (1999), Assassination of a High School President (2008), I Saw the Light (2015) dan Motherless Brooklyn (2019). Ia juga tampil dalam sembilan episode Ray Donovan.
Ia juga merupakan sutradara film dokumenter tahun 2002, 7th Street (jalan tempat ia dibesarkan di Alphabet City, Manhattan) yang menggambarkan berbagai tokoh yang tinggal di sana antara tahun 1992–2002.
Kehidupan awal
Pais lahir di New York City. Ibunya Lila Lee (née Atwill), seorang pelukis dan penyair, dan ayahnya merupakan fisikawan, profesor dan penulis kelahiran Belanda, Abraham Pais.[1][2][3] Ayahnya berasal dari keluarga Yahudi keturunan Portugis, dan ibunya berpindah agama menjadi Yahudi.[4]
Kehidupan pribadi
Pais menikah dengan aktris Lisa Emery pada 27 Agustus 1990.[1] Mereka adalah orang tua dari aktor Zane Pais. Pais dan Emery bercerai pada tahun 2003. Pada tahun 2006 ia menikah dengan pengusaha Marie Forleo.
