John Elliott Rankin (29 Maret 1882 – 26 November 1960) adalah seorang anggota kongres Demokrat yang menjabat pada enam belas masa jabatan dari negara bagian AS Mississippi, dari 1920 sampai 1952. Ia adalah salah satu pengarang UU untuk Tennessee Valley Authority dan mendukung program-program New Deal dari Presiden Franklin D. Roosevelt, yang memberikan investasi dan pekerjaan kepada Kawasan Selatan. Ia disebut sebagai "demagog rasial", mendukung pemisahan rasial dan supremasi kulit putih.^[1]
